Envision Your New Year!
November’s over and December has begun! There are just a few more weeks of the Fall transition before Winter begins. Although the holiday season is in full swing, the New Year is just around the corner. What better time to think about how you’d like this upcoming year to begin.
It may be tempting to put off envisioning your future for the upcoming year until it’s already begun, but think again. Unless you’re very intentional about planning during those first few weeks, a whole quarter can pass you by without a second thought.
As you move through the holiday season, don’t hesitate to move on your goals and dreams, or even the things that you enjoy. Amongst the food, fellowship, and gift giving, give these things some thought in a moment of quiet:
What one thing would you like to accomplish next year?
Are there any unfinished works, especially writings, or goals from this year that you’d like to complete?
What went well this year that you’d like to do in the next year?
What do you enjoy doing that you’d like to experience more of?
Work deadlines and life’s obligations will come and go, but it’s helpful to prioritize what’s important to you so that your reality can reflect your positive dreams of the future. Whether you’re looking to get in shape, spend more time with those you love, or have more fun, simply go for it!
