Hi there, I’m Elita Summers, the founder of Plume, Pen & Pencil! I’m a wife, avid hiker and I like to read.

From a young age I had a love of writing, and wrote creatively, publishing my first book in grade 10. I was at a fork in the road and STEM caught my attention. I had a great deal of fun using the analytical side of my brain in engineering and software consulting, but I still yearned to write.

A former engineer turned data analyst, I’ve dove headfirst into writing. I’ve combined my analytical mind and attention to detail cultivated in the technology industry with the creative art and science that is writing. My industry experience of creating how-to guides, FDA compliant process documentation, and Poynter ACES certification and AWAI training allow both real world experience and book knowledge to compliment your unique content.

When I’m not creating content for clients, I’m likely enjoying other aspects of life, and I encourage those I work with to do the same!
