Why Am I a Copywriter?
Why am I a copywriter, you ask? Why does anyone doe anything? For some, its the money. For others, the status and accolades is what drives them. For me? I’ll tell you three high level points.
Appreciation: From a young age, I have enjoyed writing, mostly in its creative forms such as poetry and stories. As the years passed, I was also intrigued by the persuasiveness of argumentative pieces, the conciseness and clarity of instructional texts, and the robustness of prose in creative writing.
Advancement: No matter what type of content, there is a way to refine it as the final product and as your craft. Regular use of the writing muscle, much like a workout regimen, allows you to get better, to “advance” if you will. As a curious person, I do my best work when I’m learning something new and have a healthy acceleration to take things to the next level.
Assistance: I like to help people. I like to see people win. Supporting and encouraging others are some of my strong suits. Adding value, combined with an eye for efficiency and energetic spirit allow me to assist in ways not previously thought of or overlooked.
Why am I a copywriter? I appreciate the craft. I enjoy doing things better. I have a heart for people. The bonus: getting paid for it.
